As the representative voice of the business community, the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce & Industry is committed to playing a leadership role in propelling Ghana’s economy to new heights. With unwavering dedication, we actively influence government policies to benefit the private sector while promoting the overall development of the Ghanaian economy.

Today, the Chamber boasts an impressive growth trajectory, expanding from a mere 14 members in 1888 to approximately 5,000 members today. With eight operational offices strategically located across the country, we have established a strong presence nationwide. Our activities are facilitated through various Sectoral Groups and Service Committees, which cater to a wide range of economic interests. The National Secretariat serves as the administrative and technical hub, providing support for the day-to-day operations of our regional and district chambers.

Maintaining close relationships with the government and other relevant bodies is a top priority for the Chamber. As the representative organ of the business community and the voice of the organized private sector in Ghana, we engage in regular consultations with the government on policies and measures affecting business and the economy. We actively advocate for the interests of the business community and make representations to the government on issues of significance.

• Promotion of Trade and Industry: The Chamber actively promotes trade and industry and represents the interests of the business community on matters pertaining to trade and industry in Ghana. As a non-profit organization, our focus is solely on advancing our objectives for the benefit of our members.
• Information Hub: We serve as the central organization for collecting, distributing, and disseminating business-related information, including regulations, tariffs, trade opportunities, and other market-related matters, both domestically and internationally.
• Inclusivity and Affiliation: The Chamber is committed to being non-racial, non-sectarian, non-political, and gender-friendly. We are affiliated with esteemed international bodies such as the Pan African Chamber of Commerce (PACCI), Federation of West African Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FEWACCI), and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
• Customized Services: In addition to promoting collective business interests, the Chamber provides tailored services to individual members. We issue letters of introduction to facilitate visa procurement for international travel, offer access to a comprehensive library and information hub featuring directories and trade journals from around the world, and endorse certificates of origin at a moderate cost.
• Advocacy and Consultancy: The Chamber serves as the official body through which opinions on commercial and industry matters can be directly presented to the government and other authorities at national and local levels. We are frequently consulted by the government in the early stages of new legislation preparation. Furthermore, we organize training workshops, provide consultancy services, and offer business education and training programs through our dedicated unit.
