A Legacy of Excellence

Celebrating over three decades of excellence, WAEC was founded in March 1982 in Monrovia, Liberia. This historic moment marked the signing of the Convention establishing WAEC. Subsequently ratified by member governments, this Convention came into force in August 1984.

International Recognition

The Convention not only provides uniform legal support to WAEC’s operations across member countries but also grants WAEC international legal personality. In March 1985, the Council was officially inaugurated under this Convention. Moreover, WAEC enjoys certain privileges and immunities through a Headquarters Agreement signed with the Government of Ghana in 1987.

How to Register Online For WAEC

Visit unified.ghanawaec.org to register for WASSCE private, BECE private, GBCE school, and ABCE school

– WAEC now offers the ability to buy Results Checker PINs and check results via SMS with Mobile Money Platforms.
– The process is straightforward: Dial *944# and follow the prompts.
– Subscribers will receive their results checker PIN or a text message of their results on their mobile phones.
– Results can also be accessed online at eresults.waecgh.org.
– Each Results Checker PIN costs GHS 10, and an SMS text of results is GHS 6.

How To Check Your WAEC Results Online

Here are the steps to access your results:

1. Go to https://eresults.waecgh.org/
2. Enter your Index Number.
3. Confirm your Index Number.
4. Select the Type of Examination (e.g., BECE School, WASSCE Private).
5. Select your Exam Year (e.g., 2002).
6. Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card (e.g., 180000000001).
7. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card (e.g., A1B2C3D4E5F9).
8. Tap on “I’m not a robot.”
9. Click on Submit.
